Eves & Liliths: An Exploration of Women's Identity@ Espacio Gallery - London 2016

As a woman, I experience kindness, patience, giving and compassion; love and the feminine, as well as strength, courage, dignity, determination and the masculine.

I grew up in Italy where to be a woman meant being a mother and a wife; the woman as  the carerand the man as the provider.

My mother's generation is one of the liberation of woman, the 60s, where women were claiming their independence, but still mother and wife.

That was a time of struggle, both for my mother, and my father, as a man.

I strive to find balance: where the carer and the provider live equally, with mutual respect. Thats my vision of society: neither patriarchal, nor matriarchal.

Eve&Lilith(from the Video Paintings series): in its fullness, the moon is a symbol of the strength of the woman; of independence and interdependence. It is full and fierce, yet without the sun she would not be seen.

The video has no editing in time, what you see is what it is.

Autoritratto:  by hiding, I reveal who I really am, and not what society wants me to be, and to conform to.

Hair is a conductor of the bodys electromagnetic energy, and by shaving we lose that contact with the universe and the vibration that emanates:

it's like playing an instrument out of tune.

Nature put every hair on your body for a reason. The hair of the legs regulates the glandular system and stabilises a persons electromagnetic field. The hair under the armpits protects the very sensitive area where the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems come together; this affects the brain and your energy level.

(Dr. Birendra Kaur.: Human Hair A Biological Necessity)

So, why shave? Why feel disgusted?

Like a moon, I shine.
